Sirius Design & Integration designs new longline vessel for P/F Regn

Press release: Sirius Design & Integration AS will develop the design for a new longline vessel for the Faroese shipping company P/F Regn, a company within the Framherji Group.

The vessel will be built at Stadyard in Raudeberg and is scheduled for delivery in summer 2028.

The new vessel will have a length of 50.3 metres (LOA) and a freezer hold with a capacity of 630 m³. The vessel is designed for efficient operations and high raw material quality in fisheries in the North Atlantic.

The design has been developed in close cooperation between the shipping company, the yard and suppliers, with particular focus on efficient catch handling, good onboard logistics and robust solutions for demanding operations.

A future-oriented longline vessel

“We have had very good cooperation with both the shipping company and the yard in the development of the design. The goal has been to develop a future-oriented longline vessel that combines efficient catch handling, energy-efficient operations and good solutions for the crew on board,” says Agnar Juvik, Chief Designer at Sirius Design & Integration AS.

At Stadyard, the project is highlighted as an important newbuild for the yard and the supplier industry.

For the shipping company, the contract marks an important step in the continued development of the fleet.
